“I think the most beautiful thing about life is change.”

- Ashley Mozingo

Could you imagine everything and everyone being the same, all the time?

Could you imagine every person that could sing, could only sing with the same voice.

Could you imagine having the exact same life path as everyone you meet?

What would happen to conversation? What would happen to getting to know someone?

You’d already know everything because it would be the same as you.

What if all food had the same taste. What is all homes looked the same. What if every dance, was the same.

What if things never changed? What if we never grew? We all stayed the same size.

I think we exist because of change.

The more conversations I have with people, the more I realized that I welcomed changed more than my fellow man.

I understand though. Change can be uncomfortable. It can be unsettling and sometimes frightening. Some change is even heart-breaking. But all change brings growth.

Things tend to change when we won’t.

Things tend to change when room has to be made.

Things tend to change when growth has to occur.

Things tend to change when healing has to take place.

Sometimes we lose people or things to force us to accept ourselves in all areas of our being.

We may have trouble with gratitude, so we lose something we take for granted.

We may have trouble with peace, so life presents chaos.

We may have trouble with acceptance, so we maneuver through rejection.

Then there are things that change for the better like a new job, new home, new love.

These things feel like good change, but we have to power to make all change good change.

Once we accept that only good changes occur in our lives, we can better serve our future selves by accepting the good.

We begin to train our thought process when things happen that were unplanned. We become more optimistic. More hopeful. More prepared to adapt.

Take a look back at the last month, what changed about your home, your work, your dreams, your heart. Did you change your mind about something? Was it beneficial to you? Did it hurt? Do you see the longevity in your decision making?

Yes, change can be scary, but learn from it if you can. Learn that change is constant and you are adaptable. You are capable of adaptability. You allow change to bring good.

Have a conversation with yourself about how you feel about change today.
